Brisbane's "swimming lagoon"
Because it's too dangerous to swim in the ocean around there We were in Brisbane March 21-24, but didn't really do anything too exciting. We went to a few markets, although none were as impressive as the ones in Melbourne. We took the river ferry on the second day and saw the Story Bridge, got some cheese sticks at the Riverside market which had something spread in them that tasted suspiciously like Vegemite, and then went to a movie to beat the heat. We also saw a couple from Edmonton who we travelled with on Kiwi Experience that night in the hostel. They're done travelling about the same time as us but they've been gone for a year - crazy. Our last day we went shopping at the Queen Street Mall which was kind of more like a shopping district, and that was about it for Brisbane.
