A magical afternoonA magical afternoonA magical afternoon

Carole is happy
We were told conflicting stories about the name of this place/ these places. Some people told us it was the same town and it just had two names, and some told us they were separate towns. Who knows. Anyways, we were here from April 2-6, and we mostly just hung out at the hostel or the beach. On the 3rd when we went to the beach the water temperature was 27 degrees!! Celsius!! It was pretty much the same temperature as the air - we couldn't believe it. The most exciting thing we did was on our second last day when we went kayaking in the ocean. It was hard work, and we both got a bit roughed up. Carole has a massive fist-sized bruise in the middle of her back and I got hit in the head with the kayak the one time we flipped over. The reason we flipped over was because we were kayak-surfing on the waves. It was really fun, but once you got turned parallel to the waves you ended up upside down pretty quick. We watched the sunset on the beach for a bit afterwards for a bit of a rest and enjoyed some snacks

After our kayak-surfing
and goon. That was about all for Agnes Water - we also saw Charlotte and Ian again (Edmonton couple from Kiwi Experience) and on the 6th we caught the night bus to Airlie Beach. It was a bit of a weird service, it picked us up from the hostel bus stop in a little shuttle bus and then took us out to a random shoulder or side road on the highway to wait for the actual bus. Oh well, we made it so that's all that matters.
