view over the Australian outback (NOTE: this is a temporary entry because there are still heaps more photos we have, but we have to go white water rafting in 30 minutes!!!)
We only had 12 days in the massive country of Australia so we were limited to areas around Sydney in New South Wales. However, that didn't stop us from having an awesome time. The first couple days we were a bit culture shocked after coming from a month and a half in south east asia. When we checked in to our hostel in Sydney on the first night we paid all 3 nights and a key deposit which was $90 each...very shocking when we were paying $3 each in SE Asia for a private room with satellite tv!
we also had an "its a small world" moment when we ran into Hugh in a random bar in Newcastle. We had met him trekking in Nepal 2 months earlier and yelled across the bar to get his attention. turns out we spent our last days with him as he was kind enough to drive us tourists around the Hunter Valley wine region and to the Blue Mountains. Had such an awesome time !!!
