Day 19, 30/9/11
Surfed in the morning today and caught a wave all by myself, such a good feeling - shame it didn't last that long. We went further out to sea today and caught the bigger unbroken waves which, suprisingly, I found easier to catch. Free afternoon, could've gone surfing again but I chose not too so got showered and met up with some brits I had been chatting to a few days earlier and took a walk along the beach to see Kangaroos at 'Kangaroo Golf'. The coach was an hour late picking us up to take us the Byron Bay so we left at 5 and arrived at Byron Bay at around 8; we all met in a bar called Cheeky Monkeys for dinner and a night out.

Day 20, 01/10/11
Could only stay for one night in the hostel we was in as the other nights were fully booked so we all woke up with nowhere to sleep that night. I stayed with a scottish guy and german girl who are travelling together and we found a free internet shop for backpackers and found a hostel for $25 with a free dinner every night, not bad - ensuite too!
Was pouring down with rain so didn't really do much, took a walk around a few shops to get our bareings and then the rain eased off so talk a walk along the beach front. Cheeky Monkeys again for dinner as I had a voucher for a free meal there.
