The Peshtigo River
The River is north of the campground. You can see it at the very top of the picture. Our adventures are continuing on Northward to Crivitz, Wisconsin and the Peshtigo River. Pronounce that Pesh ta go. The fly fishing here is supposed to be excellent. There were hundreds of trees down along the river which made the fishing a little more difficult as the fishing lines would catch in the downed trees when casting. We did NOT catch a lot of fish on this crooked little snakelike river even though we fished all day for two full days. We had a great time floating the river as it is well known for white water rafting and floating as well as fishing. The fall colors are showing up now with our nights in the 40's and days in the 70's. It is beautiful here. The fall colors have much more vibrant red and yellow than our colors in the south.
We are now ready to move on up the shoreline of Lake Michigan to northern Michigan.
