our haven for 6 hoursSo, on the plane ride BACK to Indianapolis, I decided to document our adventure in Philly...
1. Flight to Manchester…CANCELLED….4 hours prior to leaving Indianapolis, yet they had us fly to Philly still.
SIDENOTE Manchester’s airport reopened minutes after U.S. Airways cancelled our flight….best airline evveerrrr.
2. Had to wait in the LONGEST customer service line EVER…..then gave up and went to the ticket counter….
3. Waited about 2 hours for assistance….was told we would fly out on Tuesday, however had to wait 30 minutes for confirmations…
4. (2 hours later)
JUST KIDDING!!!! We’re leaving on Saturday…………another 2 hours later we finally got pink “Hotel Vouchers,” aka a pink piece of paper with a phone number to possibly find a hotel….grand total of
6 hours waiting on the hard tile floor without food
5. We go on a safari through the airport to find shelter….oh, and our luggage….
6. Ended up finding shelter outside of the airport Marriot on the overpass since the hotel was full and then paid for $13 personal pizzas and $13 Philly Cheesesteaks (however the pizza was sooooooo good)
7. Slept on and off for about 4 hours with no blanket or pillow ☹ Found some

the only flight canceled :( “new friends” sleeping in random nooks and crannies around our area, which scared the bajeezus out of Lyn hahaha
8. Woke up, went through security...again…checked our bags…again….and flew back to Indianapolis….however did get really awesome smoothies on the way ☺
SO....due to Eyjafjallajökull, my trip is being postponed a little bit....I won't be leaving now until Saturday...however, not going to lie it was pretty good bonding time for all of us girls! Ate some good food, once we finally found some, and some girls even showed off some cool gymnastics moves...? lol
I can tell this is going to be a very interesting journey once it officially starts!
