We decided to put our coffee in to-go cups and take a walk this morning. We walked down to the tent and yurt area. I guess that's why they call it Campfire Lodgings. I've never seen a yurt. I don't think I'd want to stay in one....seems a bit claustrophobic. It's foggy this morning, the temperature is cooler..fall is in the air. As we are walking along the trail, I suddenly stop because in front of me is a huge spider web. I would have freaked out if I had walked in to it! I made Ken walk in front of me and we see lots of spider webs! I took a few pictures, they are hard to photograph. We walked back to our RV and finished our OJ.
Our neighbors who bought all the shoes are packing up to leave. They have a fold out/pop up camper. They have been loading up since 7 am when Ken got up. They guy had set up an entire outdoor kitchen. They have lots of totes...it's so much work. They are obviously frustrated too because they both just each opened a beer. I love my RV.
We made a big brunch:
cheese omelet, bacon and goetta. We took showers and then left. We are going to check out a place where we may store the RV while we are in Tucson. The maintenance guy who works here offered his stepfather's land as a place to store it. We drove there and it is in a pretty nice neighborhood with manicured yards....not really where you would think of a place to store an RV. Ken called 'Arden' (he's out of town) to confirm it was the correct place and he said yes, just pull it over in the grass.
We head for Barnes and Noble. I bought a few books and we walked around the mall. It's an older mall......it has carpet. Weird. There was a huge orange tent set up in the parking lot for Halloween. We went in...I thought we could get some lights to hang outside the RV. It's only costumes, hundreds of them...a really good place to get a costume. It's extremely hot inside...no air conditioner, probably 20 degrees hotter inside than outside.
We drove to downtown Asheville and had dinner at 'Wicked Weed'. We shared a grilled caesar salad (never heard of this-delicious), and a
burger. Ken had a local beer and I had a glass of house wine: a French red. We enjoy some people watching. This is a huge hippy town...they've settled here for sure.
Our new neighbors at the campground won't even look up when whey see us. You never know, right? Ken takes another walk, (I think he just wants to talk to people), I read for a little. When he returns we try to find something on TV to watch-a difficult task. As we were switching through the channels, we found "Alone and Naked". I can't even concentrate on the show because of the gross nakedness. We ended up watching a Mission Impossible (ugh!) and then went to bed.
