Guys! I love New York!! have spent a week here since camp finished and its so cool! been doing all the touristy stuff - statue of liberty, ground zero and the empire state building - the view was amazing!
the people here are really cool as well - friendly and helpful. its definitely good to have an accent in america!!

have mastered the subway - its not really that hard! and its funny to watch the locals get worried when they tell you that you're on the train heading to Queens instead of the one heading to '79th st b/w amsterdam and broadway' haha!! i wasnt fazed at all, but they were!!!

also checked out a few museums - the Museum of Natural History - I saw the dinosaurs, yay!!
and the metropolitian museum of Art (The Met) - which was amzing! saw work by Picasso, Mondrian, Warhol, Jim Dine, Roy Lichenstein, a Matisse exhibition, Salvador Dali and more. was so cool to see some of the work that ive only ever seen in books - all you art geeks will understand how awesome it was!

central park was cool as well though didnt spend as much

this was in the post office that we went to...scary!
time there as i would have liked.

put myself on a bus and went to New Jersey for 2 nights as well. I went and stayed with one of my girls from camp. was soooo nice to be in a house and have home cooked meals - was luxury!! (the small things in life aye!)

aftet NJ went back into the city and hooked up with some of the girls again...stayed at a hotel in the East Village - pretty cool neighbourhood with bars everywhere etc, and a wicked bakery - go the bagels!!

Left NY on the 4th sept to Miami. will head back to NY on about the 18th sept. yay!
