have just been exploring the country of Wales. Did a 3 day tour checking out some of the sites with 21 others. saw some pretty cool stuff - old ruined abbeys and a few national parks. Wales has some pretty cool history - all about kings and queens etc. visited this really cool place called Port Meirion, which is a village that some rich fella decided to build because he wanted his own village - imagine that! when you walk into the place its like you're in some mediteranian country because of the style of the buildings and the bright colours. the only downside is that its aimed at tourists and you have to pay to get in, but other than that its choice! visited some national parks - brecon beacon and mount snowdonia, stopped in ... read more

flew into holland on the 5th to go visit the family...however no one had any idea I was coming! had good fun turning up on the doorstep of aunties and uncles, and the grandparents! Turned out to be a good timing while I was there as it was my cousins birthday, my aunty and uncles 25th wedding anniversary, and I discovered I had a new born cousin! hung out with the family for a week and then headed up to amsterdam for 2 nights. we ended up staying in this christain youth hostel, which was strangely situated in the middle of the red light district. Had some interesting things to look at just outside the door! Visited the Anne Frank house, did a canal cruise and strolled the red light district at night. had a good ... read more

excusez-moi madame/monsiuer parlez-vous anglais? hows that for a bit of French! excellent! I learnt this phrase on the train over to Paris, and had to put it into use a few times! Anna and I jumped across the channel into France for a week. Spent 4 nights in Paris, checking out the sites during the day. Some wicked things to see. The first day there, we checked out the Louvre...got a sneaky picture of the Mona Lisa...oh what a bad ass! From there we went and found the Catacombs. I would recommend seeing this if you're ever in Paris and looking for something on the 'weird' side to do. The catacombs is this underground tunnel thing which is 1.7kms long, and is filled with 6 million human bones, which had been exhumed from Parisian cemetaries about ... read more

September 22nd 2005

arrived in England on the 22nd sept from New York...so jet lagged! Got picked up from Heathrow by Nikki (thanks!!) Went and checked out Windsor castle, hoping that we might run into the queen and get invited up for tea and scones...unfortunately for us it didnt happen (apparently she was at buckingham palace) but we did get a few tips on how to pick up Prince William! Checked out Buckingham Palace, the Big Ben and Leciester Square, with tour guide Russ...got a few ideas on how to jump the wall of the palace and go visit the queen, but decided against it, for the time being.... Went wondering by myself another day and tried to find the London Bridge (or is it the London tower? i cant remember...) but never did find it...I still dont know ... read more

Its interestin, but boring. Might see if I can bump into the Bush (george that is) and get him to take us out 2 dinner...how funny would that be? dont know what we ... read more

arrived back in Miami from the cruise on the 9th sept. am staying for a week. have checked into the Clay Hotel which is a cute little spanish style place - quite pretty actually :) Have meet some choice people here - especially a bunch of spanish speaking dudes - 2 from south america (nicholas and german ) and 1 from spain (victor). had some fun nights with them. German and Victor took charlie and I to a little salsa club and then proceeded to try and teach us some salsa. a fun night!!! such a laugh! not really sure i learnt anything - its kinda hard! the only easy bit is the slow 'lovey-dovey' stuff!! anyone can do that!! One thing i can say though is that ive never had so many people to dance ... read more

Guys! I love New York!! have spent a week here since camp finished and its so cool! been doing all the touristy stuff - statue of liberty, ground zero and the empire state building - the view was amazing! the people here are really cool as well - friendly and helpful. its definitely good to have an accent in america!! have mastered the subway - its not really that hard! and its funny to watch the locals get worried when they tell you that you're on the train heading to Queens instead of the one heading to '79th st b/w amsterdam and broadway' haha!! i wasnt fazed at all, but they were!!! also checked out a few museums - the Museum of Natural History - I saw the dinosaurs, yay!! and the metropolitian museum of Art ... read more

Far out its been 10 weeks already! hasnt time gone fast! ive been looking forwards to the end of camp but now that its almost here (2 days to go) I dont wanna leave! Honestly you have a love/hate relationship with this place - every single person that I know here does - its your home and the people are your family, but being tired all the time can drag you down - but u still love it - the good times and the bad! had banquet the other night - where the whole camp gets dressed up and has a formal type dinner, and then after dinner we had the staff show - Grease! was heaps of fun! a good laugh! Oh soccer... so we had 2 soccer games this session and we lost big ... read more

far out! hve just been to Niagra falls and walked into Canada on my day off - so cool! had an amazing day checking out the falls and being a good old tourist! If you ever get the chance to go to Niagra, then do it, cos its honestly worth it. People here at camp have said that its really boring and a waste of time, but it soooo isnt! the sheer height and power of the falls and water is.....i dont know! its just amazing! you really have to experience it for yourselves to fully understand. The water that flows over the falls come from the great lakes, and travel out into the atlanta ocean - that in itself is cool! Did the Maid of the Mist boat ride (did some of yous get my ... read more
