Port Meirion was chosen to be the village "The Prisoner" (a british series about a guy that's taken prisoner for committing a crime and moved to a convict village and everything about his ever existing is removed from the real world...weird stuff) because of it's strange appearance and the look of isolation.

The "stuff" in the photo with Big Ben are the houses of parliament (government stuff) and the river Thames. The Globe Theatre burned down and was rebuilt on the same spot, and Big Ben is actually the bell in the clock, not the clock itself but not many people know that :)

Well at least you can say you got bored in the Capital City of the Richest Nation in the World. My kids are tripping at your photos cause they know all the places from playin Midtown Madness which is based in DC. They are fascinated by all your journals and I hope it inspires them to travel like you. They will have to learn to curb their appetites and stop eating at Otara Bakeries everyday first though huh.
