airport see'er offerers!
Thanks for coming guys!! I hate saying goodbye so went through as soon as I hugged you all - no lingering for me this time!!far out! Im in america. This is prob gonna be a long diary so grab a drink yo!! Flight to LA was good. Thanks for coming to the airport guys - thanks for driving me there in a camper david!! ended up sitting next to the guys that we saw at the airport who were wearing the CCUSA t-shirts (also going to a camp) was good cos I buddied up with them and the others who ended up being n the flight - so had friends!! Customs in LA were laxy as! heaps easier than aucks - we were all so surprised! hotel we stayed at was nice. hung in the spa with everyone, until we got kicked out by security guards. had a orientation night - only 6 kiwis all the rest were aussies and there were heaps of them! played these ice breaker game things so we can play them with the kids at game - was all fun and games until someone got hurt - which, of course, was me! got smacked hard in the eye by kiwi guy josh from flight. so sore! had a bung puffy eye - ouch!!
spent sunday in hollywood! -sound so
cool! was a weird place, like being on a movie set. took a bus there, cost 90c for a ride that took closer to 2 hrs! cheap as! checked out the hand/footprnts of th stars and the street had the stars which the names of famous people on it. Was a film premier on 4 movie 'Herbie' - saw phoebe from friends and lindsay lohan who needs to end a truck load of pies I tell ya! got boring after a while so we pissed off to find a bus back to hotel cos we had a flight to catch to NY. here some advice guys - dont ever catch a bus in hollywood on a sunday if you have to get to the airport for yr flight!! man! we got on the wrong bus, but had a choice bus driver who took the piss out of us - especailly me when I told him the sun rises and sets in the oppisite direction to USA in NZ!
Ended up having to flag down a taxi and taking that to hotel if we wanted to make our flight! however...taxi driver took us to the wrong hotel so we had to
back track, and... he offered to show us his gun!! - shoot!!
we caught the flight in time, so everything was good! had what they call a redeye flight- which flys thru the night. The sunrise was amazing! every colour of the raibow I tell you!
am real tired at the mo - worked out that in 55 hours we had had about 9hrs sleep.
Have just arrived at camp...its crazy! will tell u about it soon!
