This amazing Sarasota County park is right on the Gulf of Mexico,
the furthest rig is less than the length of a football away from
the sandy beach of Siesta Key. Two restaurants and a marina
where you can rent boats sit right across Midnight Pass from this
campsite. Sunning, walking and reading on the beach, shelling,
conch blowers at sunset, fab dinner on the upper deck at Turtles,
and off to a sunset Jazz event at Ca d'zan at the Ringling Museum!

Looking forward to the weekend. An Exotic Car Show on St. Armond
Circle on Long Boat Key where we will have lunch at our favorite Cuban
Restaurant "Columbia." Juried craft show downtown on Main St.,
and possibly dinner and the Art Stroll in Towles Court tonight.

Looking for a bike path!

I found a large conch at a garage sale, Wes drilled it out a bit and in practicing his toot to celebrate the setting sun!

It's a Turtle Beach tradition to toot the sundown with conch "horns."

So, it's almost sun down; you own a few Native American flutes, you set up your chair, get into the mellow music, and your Manhatten cocktail gleams in the light of the setting sun! Cool

Pass the gate, go stright down the lane paved with sea shells, see the opening after the canopy of palm trees, that's Turtle Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Our motor home is about halfway down on the left. We always think "gated trailer parks" are oxymorinic! But security is an issue everywhere and the curious would have a hard time backing out of this little stretch of Paradise!

Beautiful evening, nice music, and we sat near some neat folks; a couple from Chicago and a woman and her daughter-in-law from Pittsburg.

This is a great event at the Ringling on the 3rd Thursday of each month. The entire museum complex - fine arts, circus museums & the Ringling home - stays open on Thursdays until 8pm. It is an incredible attraction.
