So the previous weekend ended with a relaxing night/early early morning at Sam and Ange's, hanging out until 2am, getting home by 3am and having to get up at 8 the next morning to skype with the family =P
This week has been the most relaxing by far:
MONDAY: So my computer's charging system began playing up a few nights prior, finally shitting itself and thusly resulting in me having to book an appointment with Apple to get it checked out. We drove down to the international mall to get it checked out, and apparently its the charger input INSIDE the computer that is the problem, which needs to be replaced so I can, you know, USE my computer. Still waiting on the call there, its been a week -.-
Miraculously i'm somehow still able to charge my computer, with a lot of frustration and moving of the charger cord itself to get the light to come on, so at least I still have my entertainment =]
TUESDAY: Tuesday was very much a nothing day, Adam and Maeghan were due back from New York that night so Will and I just lazed around the
house, played video games, watched Glee etc. Oh and I dyed my hair. =D
THURSDAY: I am aware of the missing "wednesday", but nothing exciting happened on this day apart from getting steak n shake milkshakes at about 11pm and listening to conspiracies on the late radio shows.
Thursday began slowly, as all days this week have- for lunch Will took me to the mongolian grill which was very similar to Kublai in Ringwood, the guy fries it all up on a big rock thing, then you eat it and stuff.
I've been SO impressed with the service at restaurants and cafe's here- its amazing. You order and PAY for 1 drink only, BUT THEY KEEP FILLING IT UP FOR YOU FOR FREE! So good. So much cheaper than home.
FRIDAY: Friday was chinese for lunch at the chinese buffet with Zach, such a lovely little place. The honey chicken was AMAZING from this place.
When the waitress bought over the fortune cookies, we each took one.
Mine read "where there is a WILL, there is a way" and, NATURALLY, Will's was "stop looking forever, happiness is just next to you" when I was
in fact, sitting just next to him. I had to "nawhhhhhhhhh" at that =P
After stuffing ourselves, driving home and rolling around like beached whales on the bed complaining that we'd eaten too much, we set off for the Karnivool show with Anthony which was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.
Its so bizarre- No one over here knows who Karnivool is: there was roughly about 100 people there, IF that, and we were RIGHT up the front almost a metre away from Ian (lead singer..... thanks Paz =P), WITH room to move and, you know, BREATHE, the whole way through the show. I bought a tshirt. It was epic.
We got kinda hungry on the way home, so steak and shake it was (AGAIN. oirwagkejlnstjhot;aek) It amazes me how much I don't get sick of milkshakes- I always regret it after i've nommed a whole one and swear on my own life i'll never drink one again- and then, you know, a couple of days later I lather, rinse and repeat =P
SATURDAY: Woke up ears ringing and groggy after the long night, ready to do NOTHING except go and get the books Will needs for school this coming Monday.
We find the books he needs, drive to school, find the books and buy the books. Go to walk out of the store, and of course it's pouring down with rain. And when I say pouring, I mean PISSING IT DOWN WITH RAIN, the drains were flooding, low cars were almost sailing over the water, Will's car was only about 10 metres away but that is ALL you need to get SOAKED.
We waited for about 20 minutes but no avail: this rain seemed intent on continuing. So we said "fuck it" and RAN FOR IT. We both looked like drowned cats and had nothing to dry ourselves off with, and OF COURSE about 90 seconds later the rain stopped. Naturally, we both complained for a bit, got over it and drove straight home.
Today we bought our tickets for the Deftones on tuesday night (!!!!) And tomorrow Will starts classes, so in other words relaxing time for me =D
Love to home <3
