When we found out that the space shuttle was going to be launched during our stay in Orlando. "We just had to be there!" So with fingers crossed, we travelled to Cocoa Beach. "SPENDING THE KIDS INHERITANCE" Well thats what the kids accuse us of - so, (Skid & Skim) ski/daddy and ski/mummy are doing just that..... 2 Brits off around the world on August 19th 2007 and don't they just hate us for it!!!! No! - They think it's great that a couple of oldies have got the guts to go backpacking for 12 months. We are no strangers to travelling and have already experienced white water rafting in Colorado, "Skim" has also been brave enough to do a bungee jump. Hi Guys Good to hear from you. looks wonderful what an experience seeing the shuttle being sent off. i bet it was very noisy and busy. who were the gangsters you or the cartoon characters. xxx

Noisy Shuttle
Yes the shuttle was pretty noisy, and the crowd were just as loud. But it was a great day, although it was hot and sticky. Love to all, the gangsters (Skid & Skim)

Shivering in New Zealand!!!!
We remember so well how cold New Zealand can be! But don't worry we will be experiencing a british winter on our return home and no doubt we'll also be bundled in lots of blankets to keep the cold out. Take care all xx
