Ok....everyone is feeling much better now. What a relief. So this is a continuation of Magic Kingdom. I saved Magic Kingdom for the last park because I heard it's the best. I did a lot of research before going to Disney World to make sure that we'd end our Disney adventure on the most magical of notes for Maya. So the last day of Disney was thoroughly planned out long before we even left Milton. We started out the day like I mentioned before at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where Maya had a princess makeover. We almost didn't get the chance to do this princess thing either because before we left, I read somewhere online that the Boutique was inside Magic Kingdom. So being the planner that I am, looked around Magic Kingdom for the Boutique on Day 1. But I couldn't seem to find it. So I checked at Guest Relations and they said that it was not at Magic Kingdom but in Downtown Disney. Thank God I asked because we would have showed up at Magic Kingdom in the morning for her 10am appointment looking for the place just to be told that we are in the wrong place.
I'm so happy I put so much time and effort into the whole princess thing. I cannot even begin to tell you how much she loved being a princess. She got her make up done, her hair done and her nails done. She was given a little gift bag at the end with some press on nails, eye jewels and a bunch of other fun "perfect for a princess" stuff. After the makeover she had a photoshoot with a Disney photographer. She loved that too. After the photoshoot we left downtown Disney and headed straight for Magic Kingdom. I found out the Disney princesses hang out at the Town Hall of Fame in ToonTown so once we made it to Magic Kingdom we headed straight for the Town Hall of Fame. Throughout our walk through Magic Kingdom and the train ride over to ToonTown, Maya was like a little celebrity. People smiling and waving at her. Other children coming to play with her. And everyone saying "Hello Princess!" She was definitely loving all the attention. We found Cinderella, Belle and Snow White. Sleeping Beauty was no where to be found...but Maya loved the fact she wasn't there because she really
Maya & Daddy
Gosh...how adorable!!! did feel like sleeping beauty. There are tons of pics....some possibly doubled from the last blog. But I love these pics so too bad...lol!!!
So I guess there is something I should mention before I forget and before any of you by chance make the same mistake. You know how I told you all Rafal booked the entire trip online but everything was booked separately? Ok great idea cause we did in fact save a ton of money but here it is....on day 1 of Disney, when we got to the ticket counter and showed the lady our voucher she took a long time reading it and I was getting annoyed. Finally she hands it back to us and says "This is no good here!" What the heck did she mean we wondered. She says, "This is for "Disney Land"....okay so where were we? She said we were in Disney World. Disney Land is California....LMAO!!! OMG!!! we had prebooked tickets for Diseny Land. How the heck were we suppose to know...LOL! So luckily I had my wallet and purchased the tickets on the spot. So if you're like us and don't know there's a difference between Land and World...well
now you know and so do we.
So anyway, the rest of the day at Magic Kingdom was a lot of fun. Around 6pm it seemed like the park really started to empty out. The lineups for the majority of the rides no longer required FastPasses. My kid is nuts. She is a roller coaster lover. She's only 5 years old, 45 inches in height yet she gets on these rides with no fear. She even keeps her arms up in the air at moments that I no longer can.
We ended the Disney adventure with the "Wishes, Dreams Come True" fireworks sharply at 8pm. We had pretty good seats. I thought the fireworks in Bobcaygeon were spectacular and surely they are but in comparison to the "Wishes" display, it can't compare. What a night! I will never forget. I've posted a video of the fireworks for those of you who want to watch them. Of course it's so much more different on a computer screen than actually being there but in case you're planning a trip to Disney sometime soon, here's what you can expect from "Wishes". I would highly recommend taking time to see the fireworks.
I wanted to watch them every night but since I planned it all out, I saved the fireworks for the last night of Disney and Maya sure did love it.
So here's a few more pics of day 2 Magic Kingdom. I heard the weather is pretty shitty back home so I hope you are all driving safely.
Take care and God bless.
