It is cold, windy and surely doesn’t look like Florida at all. We were very close to freezing the last two nights, but nearby, they had a deep freeze. Thank God the sun is shining. The weather pattern is to change starting tomorrow and we are supposed to get more normal temperatures. It will be welcomed. Global warming, what is that? But at least, we do not have snow. You will notice how deserted the beaches are and the birds are frozen.
Last Friday afternoon, we were greeted at Longboat Key Club Moorings with a red carpet and great services. If you want to see what it looks like just go on www.longboatkeymarina.com . It is a beautiful resort with everything you can think of. Yes, Jacques M, it
is a great spot. We just can wait for nicer weather to be able to go with our bikes and explore the area. The resort is spread in 3 different locations. The landscaping is impressive and so well done as you can see in the pictures.
We have renewed with Sarasota, which we think is one of the most beautiful spot in Florida. The Holiday feelings are present with all the decorations downtown and along the keys. The spirit of the people all over is fun to see, but we will definitely miss the family over the Holidays. Last Saturday night was the annual boat parade in the Bay of Sarasota and the participants had a lucky break with not so windy
and cold weather. It reminded me of the Christmas in August, we used to have in our club back home. Our next blog will be sent before Christmas and will be mostly photos of all the decorations in the area.
