Whew... Made it!

So it's only 6:45 my time. 7:45 Miami time. We are sitting in bed watching TV after too much food, too many cocktails and not enough sleep over the past week. But that's okay... We're on vacation and we can do whatever we want. There are no rules.... Well, almost no rules.
Didn't get to bed until almost midnight and then up at 4:30 to catch a 7:00 am flight. The flight was uneventful. Got to Ft. Lauderdale on time and no problems with our rental car. Made it to our hotel in Coral Gables with only 1 wrong turn. We are staying at the Hyatt. Nice and reasonably priced. The front desk recommended we try the local cuisine and since we've never had Cuban food we thought "When in Rome"... So here we are in Florida eating Cuban food at a place called Las Vegas. Honest. This place was only a block away and the weather is so nice ~ it was a nice night for a walk. If you've never had Cuban food, it's not like Mexican. Not exactly Caribbean either, although we did have fried bananas called plantains. The food wasn't spicy but loaded with flavors of sweet onion and lime and served with what looked and tasted like squashed garlic bread. Maybe it was the happy hour rum and coke or the fact the we were hungry but the food was amazing! The service great and very affordable. We split the "Las Vegas Special" and it was more than enough for the both of us. It had pork, beef and chicken. $30 for dinner and cocktails there. Then took another route back to the hotel, went to the bar and had another drink then took a "to-go" out to the pool for a swim and hot tub. Now Chris is snoring and I'm on the computer... Yea, We're the wild ones!
Tomorrow we plan to leave early and hit a Walmart to pick up some last minute supplies then to the boat! Until then....

So! Have a great time & wish we were with ya... Yah Yah I know we had so many chances to go with. But, No extras this time.. Hint Hint!! LOL... you don't want to get strip searched for something you may have walked in. (dynamite). And, ya know your friend!!! LOL.. But, you too go have a blast and send lots of pics!! We love ya! Sounds like you all partyed too hard the first night. Can't believe Chris is asleep and you are blogging! LOL You are supposed to be on your 2nd honeymoon! LOL Ballgame was terrible, they lost by 40 points! Nancy, Kyle, Kennedy & I went to eat after the game. Have fun and love ya, Mom
