Let the travelling begin!

Hi all,

We've just had our first full day in Washington and we're knackered!! We've done a lot of walking today - been to the White House, Capitol Hill, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and the Smithsonian Museums, finishing the day off at a Sushi bar. Tomorrow we plan to do Arlington Cemetery, the Pentagon and the Zoo before heading onto New York on Friday!

Hostel life is going well - not too many weirdos! Are in a 6 bed dorm but haven't met the others yet! Breakfast is only $1 (50p) but Chris got told off for not using tongs to pick up his bagel!!!!

Haven't had any problems with jetlag so far but plenty more time zones to go through!!

We will upload pictures as soon as we work out how to!!!

So long for now, will send an update from the big apple!!
