Shopping, eating, and sleeping

Ann here -- the title for this entry about sums the weekend up. Mary, Katherine, and I went to the Westchester Mall in White Plains, NY yesterday to do a bit more shopping ('cuz 5 days in NYC wasn't enough 😉 ). Anyway, the mall is huge and beautiful. It's much like the Roseville Galleria back home... but, about 3 times bigger... and the shops are like many of the ones you would see in NYC (Tiffany & Co., Dooney & Bouke, Gucci, etc). The shops in NYC tend to be crowded and in disarray... except for some of the high-end shops we went in with Mary (Saks, Cole Haan, etc)... it was nice to shop in a more quiet setting.

As my mom called it in one of her blog comments... Phil & Mary had company over last night (Dan, Loraine, and their friend Nicole). After dinner and great conversation, Dan grabbed his guitar and song book out of the car and "we" sang around the kitchen table... by "we" I mean Dan, Mary, Loraine, and Katherine. Very fun time! They all sounded great! More people should do this... isn't something I would do though, as I can't sing worth a darn.

We went to Mass at 11:30am today. Much of the same, except Phil did not have to read. Phil and David did bring up the gifts. That was nice. 😊 Hearing their priest's sermons sure makes us miss Father Moroney... not to disrespect him, but his sermons (having heard two now) sure are downers and don't have a thing to do with the readings. Anyway, noone's perfect, just noting it here.

Dinner tonight will be leftovers (Phil's an awesome cook, so leftovers are a good thing!). He made very yummy Chicken Enchiladas, hamburgers, hot dogs, and three different salads last night. Typical Phil style... more is more. Steve should be here tonight for one last visit. We'll be leaving in the morning for DC. The hotel we're staying at has a wireless connection, so, with any luck, we'll be able to keep the blog up.

They don't make Margarita's there, do they? Maybe we can twist Phil's arm to make chicken enchilada's next time he's here--except that we always go out for Mexican food here. Sounds like you are having a terrific week-end. Hope all goes well on your trip to D.C. Are you having any hot weather, yet. xoxo

Anything's possible
We made margaritas last weekend... didn't want to repeat ourselves. The weather has been amazing! Only rain the evening of the 4th and a bit on the 5th. Other than that, very mild weather. It's supposed to be warming next week in DC... with 100% humity. xoxoxo, Ann
