Going to write this quick... because I am hungry for pizza. I will list what we have done since Portland.

Leaving Portland - drove towards the 101 around the beginning of the afternoon.
The 101 was crazy, crazy, crazy long, scenic, twisty, windy, and had a lot of good stops.
We stopped at a place called Strawberry Hill which was a beach with lots of rocks.
Also stopped in Gold's Beach. Local place, people stared at us. We ate horrible fried chicken and "tater babies" from a deli.
We drove pretty much straight through down the 101 to San Fran. It took about 15 hours, but was worth it. We took turns driving.
We slept near SF in a camp zone called China Camp. We also camped a few other nights since we've been here.
Went to a local cafe called Cafe Golo. The guy there is super nice and has only been open for 4 months. He told us all there is to know about life.
So far we've visited: North Beach, China Town, Fisherman's Wharf, Japan Town, Tenderloin, Ocean Beach, Mission District, Baker Beach (a nude beach, apparently), Golden Gate National Park (which is pretty much EVERYWHERE), China Beach, Jack Kerouac Street, Sutro Bath House (The ruins - it burned down), many cafes and stores, and today we went to Alcatraz and are at the Elements Hostel in the Mission District.
Alcatraz: Amazing. Yes. Really, really, really much so amazing.
We probably did more, but I am do hungry... check out the photos!
