Going to write this quick... because I am hungry for pizza. I will list what we have done since Portland. Leaving Portland - drove towards the 101 around the beginning of the afternoon. The 101 was crazy, crazy, crazy long, scenic, twisty, windy, and had a lot of good stops. We stopped at a place called Strawberry Hill which was a beach with lots of rocks.
