Mundane admin update of the week: we've sold our flat!!!! Never thought it would happen, but we've blinking done it. which means we'll have enough cash in the bank to pick up that little beach front bar in Costa Rica we're bound to fall in love with...
Anyway, back to travel exploits.
Hit the 'hip' bit of San Fran yesterday (home of Greatful Dead & the hippy movement), but I have to say it was really like a Camden theme park - quite depressing. All a bit of a let down after the blissed out sunshine of the Napa Valley. We also got to drink copious amounts of vinotage in racing driver Mario Andretti's little vinyard, which was a bit of a high-light, to put it mildly. Sadly the great man himself was absent... Probably avoiding me as he still owes me a fiver from that time at Walthamstow dogs.
Off to Mexico tonight - fully dressed for the part in cream linen suit & panama hat, Nat in sombrero & poncho.
