Queen Mary
Hi everyone, the Queen Mary was excellent. After a reasonably short flight (5 hours) we arrived at LAX, flight was ok except for the ignorant oriental types sitting in front of us who put there seats right back and kept blocking our view of the movie. The onboard food was good though, being a domestic flight we had to pay for our beverages though. Our room was ready on arrival, so dumped our bags and proceeded to wander around the ship then straight to the bar for drinks. Room service that night which was good, then off to bed......been a long day.
25/9 Caught te local bus to a bar (Joe Josts) in the sticks, Jac saw a T.Shirt advertising the bar in Honolulu and decided he couldn't go home without one. That was an experience as the suburb it was located in was a bit seedy, but the bar was good, across the road was a laundromat so we were able to do some housekeeping as well. Caught bus back to downtown Long Beach and had a drink at a Boutique Brewery/Restaurant, then back to the Queen for more drinks before the Haunted Ghost tour on the ship which takes

you below decks to the engine rooms and other places not open to the general public.......unfortunately we didn't see any ghosts (was a little scary knowing we were 20 feet below the surface though). Then we went to the Observation Bar at the front of the ship, couldn't go there the night before as was closed for a private function, we got talking to a couple of Yankie guys. Patronised the onboard Seafood Restaurant for dinner......very reasonably priced and then back to the Obsv. Bar for more drinks with Josh and Ben the yanks we met earlier. I think we all got a little smashed and Joodz and I had a bit of a dance.
26/9 Up at 6am for early transit to the airport........me was a little hungover. San Francisco here we come :o)
