Lisa on the deck
Part of our view Hello out there,
We woke to rain and gloomy skies but now at ten am the sky has opened to allow the sun to shine through. Today is a day of laundry, repacking, making grocery lists, cleaning up our messes and various articles/possessions from throughout the house, cleaning handprints off the windows and filling holes Dot dug in the yard.
Tonight we are having a "weenie roast" out in the yard and some smores. A farewell bbq. Today is full of lots of things that need to get done and so I won't say too much here.
The girls get out of school for the last time this year at 130 in the afternoon. Dot has her travel certificate appointment at 2pm at the vets office and the girls are at Girl Scouts at 3pm-5pm today for awards. Our little errands will have to be done sometime in town during all of that.. ugh.
Last night around 930 Josephine, Lisa and I went down the Diamond Ridge Trail to the beach at sunset. It was really nice, Lisa was almost moved to tears and has fallen in love with the place. She says she is moving back here
Sisters on the trail
Here we are at the head of the Diamond Ridge Trail for her five years that Ryan owes her for living in Georgia for five years.
When we got back she played with Dot all crazy like. She tried to take the ball from her mouth and everything... nutty chick that she is.. Dot loved all the fun and attention, it was great!
Well, this is my farewell to all of you until I find a bit of cyberspace to log into on the road. We leave tomorrow morning around 8 or 9 am. We should arrive in Washington/Seattle on the 19th.
Enjoy and write some comments to let me know you are out there somewhere!!!

Have a great summer of safe travel and best of luck as you pursue your career goals. I'm leaving Homer for Olympia, WA but have enjoyed my time here. Great pics! - MJ
