Greetings to all our merry followers! Many of us left Toronto this morning at the 'crack of stupid' 😊

And, after a fabulous flight on Air Canada, arrived in Vancouver to catch up with the folks from the West who were joining us on the wonderful adventure. We moved on over to a private terminal where our aircraft from Flair Air joined us. A great time was had by all on the flight - a great crew - and we are all getting ready to travel, eat, laugh, get to know each other and create memories. We kicked things off with orange juice/mimosa/champagne - not a bad way to start this wonderful trip!

We are all enjoying the luxury of executive seating - lots of leg room (not that I, personally need much of that!) - lots of elbow room and lots of comfort.

We arrived in Anchorage in good time - blue skies all the way today. Tonight, we had the gala dinner at the Captain Cook hotel - filet mignon, Alaskan halibut - and a fabulous chocolate dessert that touched my soul. It was first class all the way!

We are only here for a brief period of time.....(ok - and that's really the story of the day! - we finished dinner and everyone has about 4 hours before we're out of here and back on the plane! I'm not going to lay down because I'm afraid I won't hear the 'wake up' call at midnight, LOL - and you can bet I don't want to miss the plane!) and, before we know it - off to Beijing. Now, that's one stop I have been looking forward to and can hardly wait to share all the incredible experiences I know we will have.

Stay tuned; we've only just begun! (there's 29 photos uploaded here - be sure to click on photos (below in the blue box) and enjoy!)

Happy Pat (and the Travel Guild team)

Up, up, and away
Hi Pat and friends, I look forward to your comments and photos over the course of the next month. I can just imagine the excitement of your fellow travellers. I remember so well that champagne and orange juice on the first flight. You\'re right. Just the beginning of a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Have fun everyone. I am so excited to live this journey through you !!! Looks like a terrific start. When planes (with extra legroom, for those of us that are 5\'10\") and limos arrive on time...and mimosas are served....All is right with the world. Good way to start a trip. Hope you can score an ambien from someone to make the beijing flight a pleasant (and productive) one. Safe Flight. xo
