Pacific Coast!

Arrived in Guayamas pretty bagged, we had thought this place was on the water... but we couldn't see it. Took us about an hour driving around town to find the route down to the water, there's a hot shot tourist area that we wanted to avoid, but found some nice beachfront and a place run by a guy named Leo, 350 pesos / night which was nice, right on the beach. We hoped out of the car and right into the water (damn it was like soup) quite a change from our last dip in Cali.

Decent waves as well, so we figured we'd try out the surf tommorow. Hit the grocery store, tolls and gas were adding up so we figured we'd eat on the cheap, got about 400 terrible corn tortilla's for like 8 pesos, canned tuna and belony (thanks jord) some cheese, and... oddly enough Moosehead.... somehow we found Moosehead down here... ohwell it was about 30 pesos for a 6 pack... that's like 50 cents USD each, so we loaded up on that and tequilla, water (super thirsty) and headed back to Leo's, ate some tomatoe and stuff on the surf board and then drank on leos patio and played cards

woke up the next day and just R&R swimming, sleeping in the sand, writing in the journal on the patio (lots of pictures i'll post eventually) and really enjoyed ourselves, lots of locals on the beach, saw the pelicans hunt, and dolphins coming into the bay to eat (lots actually) was a very cool place, finished our tequilla that night and played more cards (you can probably sense a pattern here) i showered and hit the sack, cockroaches everywhere as well which was funny, and the cats hunted them which was cool, they loved us after we gave them tuna leftovers.

off to bed, early rise for mazatlan tommorow!
