Years of salt water erossion and still standing watch
Pam and I have done a fair amount of walking the barrios of bahia kino, Alamos and Mazatlan and this is a small sample of the glorious and historical buildings that we have seen and felt. Being around such magnificent homes and buildings you begin to feel their age and the experiances that they have gone thru.

Some day I would love to sit down with all of these structures and hear all the stories that they could unfold. I am sure there would be no novelist who could hold a candle to the mysteries that are buried in the paint and mortar of the past.

The new buildings of Mexico could surely win hundreds of awards for design and new inovation, but they will never match the simple beauty of colonial home that is three hundred years old and has protected generations of famillies from the harshness of the mexican weather, be it the sun or the government.

All of the pictures taken are because of a feeling the veiw gave me not because we needed a picture. Enjoy, and let use know what you think.

These faces are hidden all over centro and I found not two alike unless they were on the same building complex.

Being a carpenter I am always pleased when I see a creative simple pattern that changes the shape of a flat space. Especially when it is your home, they also have a wounderfull face watching over there front door.

Wow !!
Great photos guys,!! Jeff I was out fly fishing today but casting a floating line with a sink tip at a 6 inch hole requires a lot of patience....heh heh. Went to Wilgress with a buddy and caught four nice rainbows between 3 of us.....a nice sunny day. The temps here are supposed to plummet this week but we'll see. Sure hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a Great New Year. B

Doorways to.....
I very much enjoyed looking at your photographs. I myself love to take pictures of doorways, alleys, streets. It's wonderful to think of all of the people that have passed through them. It makes me think about what the place is like when i'm not there, in the past, present, and future. Thanks!
