The Sand Dollars
I have been collecting these every morning. The shoreline is covered with them. We are still doing well here enjoying the sun and the beach. I have been walking the beach collecting my Sand Dollars. They are a lot easier to find here than in Bonita. These are different as they do not have the little holes in them like the Florida ones. Oh, well.
Last night the Brits had us in for dinner. Dave is quite the cook. They have traveled a LOT and like very spicy food but they "turned" the temperature down for us. It was A Malaysian meal consisting of chicken baked in a wonderful coconut milk with lots of spices--cinnamon, gloves, garlic, onions ginger...I don't remember them all but it was very delicious. This was then served over rice seasoned with tumeric. Their coach is awesome too--very elegant.
Yesterday we went "grocery shopping" at the local Mercado (market) It was pretty interesting. We were not too impressed with the "fresh" fruits and veggies so we bypassed them.....not sure what we will eat, but I still have my States reserve left.!! ha ha!
Today we were told by this Canuck here that there was this really cool place to go---high up on the bluffs that overlook the
ocean. He told us it was a "good" truck road. We were game so we headed out with Dave and Izzy for a nice drive and find this locale. The only description we had was "some power lines that go down to the water". Fine. Somehow we missed them and found ourselves at the Rosario check point. Out of the truck we went, and the young men searched our truck. I asked one of the guys if he knew where this place MIGHT be, but he did not. Since we were already in Rosario, we all decided to go into the little village and take a look around. It is a very small town, but we all noticed something that made it stand out--very little garbage! It was neat and tidy, EVEN a GARBAGE truck full of garbage! We decided to go into a little grocery store b/c they sell wine there! The store was also very nicely organized and CLEAN! They had warm, FRESH homemade tortillas--70 cents for like 3 dozen! I guess there has been some kind of shortage of corn so finding corn tortillas has been hard!
This morning we were just standing around when we
This the view we face from our door
.....what can I say???? Is this paradise???? noticed a local walking up this way with a gas tank. Apparently he ran out of gas so he just pointed to our gas tank that we have under our RV. We realized that he had run out of gas so Mike started to pour him a little. Of course, Izzy and I are saying to Mike, "That is plenty. STop....he has enough to get him where he should be going.....blah blah....." The local guy is saying "More, more"!!!!!! Ha ha......Didn't even say "gracias". LOL.
Today was "laundry" day. There are NO machines here but there is a spigot so, I used my big tub and washed whites. That is a lot of work. Next time I will hire it done!!! I only did whites. I can get by now for awhile!! Ha ha
So that is about it from here......I don't have a lot of pictures but enjoy.

I'm all caught up........
on your travel experiences and really enjoyed reading it all and seeing the pictures, all of which brought back so many memories of my visits to Mexico when Juli and Orlando lived there. What a great time you seem to be having. Did the couple from Sedona ever show up or did you go on without them. Good thing you met the Brits, as you seem to enjoy them. I have a couple of fiends who live in England and they, too, are great travelers. All is well here, I'm still enjoying southern California. Nita
