We are still here outside of San Quintin. The day started cloudy but turned sunny but the wind was cool. We walked the beach as usual and then decided to go to this place called the Old Mill that everyone raged about. So, we all decided to go there in the afternoon. Of course, you must take yet another washboard road about 3 miles off the main highway (actually the ONLY highway) . It is amazing that any of the locals have any kind of suspension left in their vehicles. They drive like the road is a regular road while we are driving very slowly so as to NOT damage our cars!! Anyway, along the way, I am thinking, "This BETTER be worth it". WE finally arrived and it is located in the bay here. Lots of fishing boats and the Old Mill Bar/Restaurant/Motel. It was originally constructed by the British (we think mid 1800s>???)in hope of growing and processing wheat as well as to settle in the area. However the climate did not cooperate, so they abandoned the quest. The place remains a very popular place to visit if you want to take the time to go down the nasty

I could not bear to do any more laundry by hand so I asked the manager, Fidel, if he could recommend anyone to do my laundry. He said he would check with his sister and come back to get the laundry. As promised he came back and took my laundry but I still don't have it back yet!!! I hope we get it back......LOL.

Tonite we had the Brits in for dinner. I made Chilaquiles with my FRESH tortillas that I bought. They loved them. I also served black refried beans and Mexican style cole slaw. Then we had our usual fire and called it a night. We leave here on Tuesday and will travel to Catavina some 100 miles from here. There we will visit a cactus garden and spend the night. AFter that we will then head to BAhia de Los Angeles another 100 miles on the other side of the peninsula on the Sea of Cortes.

Just a few pics today.....................
