Slight change in itinerary

Yeah, well, we kind of chickened out on that Route 20 drive from Bella Coola to Williams Lake thing! The next door neighbor told us this morning he punctured two tires the last time he drove that stretch. He was, until recently, a wilderness guilde. We've been waffling on this part of our plan for a week now, and this convinced us to change our plans.

So we went back to the drawing board and booked the Inside Passage instead, from Port Hardy all the way up to Prince Rupert. For a virtual tour of the ferry from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert, go to Queen of The North. So now we still leave Port Hardy July 7, but heading for Prince Rupert -- an 18 hour journey.

While we're in the neighborhood, we figured we shouldn't miss the chance to visit the Queen Charlottes, so we'll head for Skidegate July 9, and return to Prince Rupert on the 11th. After that we have two full weeks to meander in the BC Interior.
