It's February and all my hopes of an early spring have melted. Staring through the large kitchen window, I see huge swirls of powdery flakes adding layers to the already frozen, white land that surrounds us. Even my cat, Sushi, hesitates to go outside. The cold whips at his nose and brings a flutter of fear to his fur. My car is slowly being blanketed in God's dandruff and it may be a few days till I can take her out again. The fire chugs on relentlessly and I am forever in debt to my electric blanket, microwaveable neck warmer and HOT blueberry teas.
