Goreme open air museumAfter a few days in Istanbul, we headed to Cappadocia in central Turkey. The magical landscape filled with fairy chimneys, cave churches, phallic tuff cones, and underground cities was one of our favorite destinations of all time!

One of Bryan's favorite things from the trip - a "pancake" filled with potatoes cooked by these local wowen (and warming up by the fire!)

Derinkuyu underground city
Originally built by the Hittites in 2000BC to hide 20000 people during attack, this 90m underground city was also used by the Christians after the fall of Constantople.

Cappadocian camel
With the weather being so much colder, the camels here were furrier than back at home in Egypt... and cuter, too!
