view from arbel
today we had to drop off Abraham who is leaving us to go to India but first we headed to Arbel cliff which is only a 5 min drive from where we are staying the Arbel guest house,

this place is mentioned in hosea 10:14 Betharbel here the romans threw the women off the cliff with their children

from Arbel cliff top you get a very good view of the sea of gallilee and the surounding area almost 360 degrees

we dropped Abraham at the bus station and bid him farewell and drove to Bethsaida where some of Jesus disciples lived and there are extensive ruins there even dating back to 700bc

then to the Golan heights where we stood in view of syria and could here the shelling from fighting within syria the place where we stood was on top of a hill overlooking the border called Har-Bental here there are trenches and extensive underground bunkahs that you can walk through they say that if there was an incident they would remove us and the army would be using these bunkas within minuets and indeed there are army personel all over.

we the went on a 4wd tour to within 100metres of the border while our driver explained the situation to us however I cant tell you any more because it is top secret and I cant remember because my brain is full

then we went to a nearby Kibutze for afternoon tea Merom Golan and another one to buy coffee and chocolate liqueurs for presents if we dont drink them as well as a box of chocolate which we probably will eat.

we are now at the guest house waiting for tea and then we will walk out to Arbel cliff to see the sunset.
