Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has done any tours leaving Ho Chi Minh travelling through the mekong delta and then finishing in Phnom Penh? And has any recommendations/must avoid tips for me?
Cheers,

We did the two day, one night Mekong Delta trip that ended in Phnom Penh. Pretty decent - very cheap (only a handful of dollars for the trip if I remember). The first day you get to see more. It's a bus ride out to the delta then onto a boat for exploring. Our trip went to some local craft places and we saw loads of local foods being made. We stopped for lunch which wasn't bad and then went up some of the smaller, narrower parts. After that we headed off to the hotel near the border for the night. Hotel was ok. Morning was another boat trip out to a small village and breakfast. Finally the boat up the river. Immigration was fine as our guy took all our passports and headed up river 2 hours before us to arrange all our visas. The only crap part of the journey was the bus the other side of the border. Terrible, tiny, cramped and hot and the road is in a really bad state.

Other than that, fine and much better than flying. Reply to this
