I don't know if these terms have been coined or not, but I've experienced all of them at one stage or another... am I alone? do you have any more?

Blog Lag
Blogging about events in the past, struggling to get back upto date, symptons include: not being able to get past one event, looking for a way to describe it, forgetting the names or significance of certain photos. Writing an entry that just seems to end prematurely.

Blog Fodder
An experience that may or not be fun, possibly highly unpleasant - but appreciated as it will be great "blog fodder" - even though this sucks - it will give me something to write about.

Blog Fatigue
Being bored of ones blog, not enough comments or messages, maybe just that nothing worth writing about seems to happen. Usually results in Blog Lag (see above)

Bloggers Block
Ok - writers block - can't think how to write about an experience even though it was moving, or interesting or funny.

Blogolitics
Having a suitably interesting, humourous or frustrating experience or reflection that you would like to share, yet you hesitate thinking about possible repercussions.

Blogogestion
What happens when the site becomes clogged with similar reports from the same area. Reply to this

Blogligation The sense that you have a real obligation to 'your readers' (especially as your subscriber list and hit rate grows) to come up with new, interesting, witty and informative blogs on a regular basis. This in turn leads to Blog Fatigue and even Blogolitics since suddenly your grandmother and party friends are both reading and you can't make both audiences happy. Reply to this

There's not a lot to do in Nepali tea houses ...

Blogging a dead horse: Overly worthy blog about important issues no-one is really interested in - Iraq, global warming, the end of Oil, exploitation, slavery, Wayne Rooney's foot, the drains in East Finchley ...

The Blog of Gore: Ocassional but necessary blog of which your Mum lives in dread, involving the author in : bike/car accident, bus crash, boat sinking, arrest, beating, torture, imprisonment, theft, enlightenment. Can also include the suffering of others e.g. hungry kids with large eyes.

Blognitive Dissonance: Unnatural psychological state where the author continues blogging religiously even though the hit count shows no-one is reading it.

Blognito Ergo Sum: Sad but all to common phenomenon, more commonly associated with internet chat and mobile phones. Can be accompanied by Blognitive Dissonance.

Bloggie Style: Writing about someone you've just met as soon as their back is turned. More common and more satisfying than the Missionary option, where you ask the intended victim face to face if it is ok, and maybe even offer them some form of editorial control.

In the Blog house: Location of those who pay more attention to their blog than their partner.

Blog Horn: Introductory paragraph warning the reader that what is to come is of dubious interest, overly detailed and too long, and they should immediately go to the blog with the four Swedish women on a tour of Thai beaches. Actually, Ali, could we have another html tag "button=Abort" that just takes people straight there?

Blogging all over the world: Travelblog anthem. Shame, I really wanted something by Slade. Imagine Noddy Holder's handsome face and extraordinary sideburns learing into the camera and shouting "Mamma, we're all blogging now."

Snoop Bloggy Blog: Sken like a Ribble fluke

Gollyblog: A defunct term used by my Grandad in the 1950's to refer to superlative travel journalism. Now deemed to have too many politically incorrect connotations to be in popular usage. Reply to this
