I'm male and 23 year old from Ireland and I want to go to India. Back in Feb I booked my flights to Austrlia. My original plan was to spend 6 days in Tokyo, however due to the awful events there I have changed my mind.

I will be in North India volunteering for 1 month, and will be seeing jaipur, agra, delhi, dharmasala, and palampur during that month. Is it worth travelling down to the South for 1 week after that? I was thinking to Mumbai and Goa, or should I just spend that 1 week up North? I love seeing historic sites and beautiful landscapes ... should I save south india for another trip?

GENERAL TIPS FOR INDIA & NEPAL TRAVEL:-- Visiting India or Nepal can be a wee bit unnerving for the first-time visitor. The lifestyle and culture is totally different from the West. We've made a list of some important dos and don'ts for hassle-free and enjoyable travel in these both countries. A proper VISA to enter and stay in India & Nepal is a must. There are reported cases when travelers are advised non-requirement of Indian/Nepal VISA by their travel agents. Practically every foreign national requires VISA to enter these countries.
