It's been nearly 3 years since we came back from our honeymoon and, since then, we have been to a few places... none of them as exotic as the Cook Islands, or as cheap as Indonesia, or with food as fantastic as Thailand but, none the less, they have all been great on their own rights, because of the experience we had there, or the landscape, the people or the food... or all of it together!!

You can read about this trips on our past blogs: we took a van trip around Germany and Austria to visit family and friends; I spent a month studying and visiting Seoul and after that we had an amazing week sailing around Mallorca and Cabrera, in the Balearic islands with our family. We have also been to Scotland, finally after more than 8 years living in the U.K. and we loved every moment of it.

We have also gone on little trips about which I haven't blogged, either because they were too short, or because I have blogged from there before (I haven't said anything about the month we spent in Spain with my family due to my sister's wedding: the weather was awful, but we had a great time); but in every single of those trips, we keep taking pictures of our feet, sometimes even with guests on them: that is why I love those pictures so much, because you don't need to go too far from your house just to see a different world, you just have to look at it with different eyes...

“No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel until he comes home and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow.” Lin Yutan

Love the title of this blog!
And couldn't agree more with the sentiment. Discovering the world starts with appreciating where you currently are - whether it is in the town you grew up or the most far-flung country abroad.

Great to see a 'part 2' for one of my favourite blog entries - a simple message, but so true. Thank you again :-)
