Preparing the Journey

The Decision has been taken, tickets bought and parents told - that Angel and I are finally fulfilling our dream of seeing a bit more of the World. How exciting!

It is planned to leave on the 23rd January 2007, for 5 1/2 months, starting in Australia, followed by New Zealand in a caravan, Thailand by foot and finally China, returning to Germany on the 16th July 2007.

Preparations are running wild, injections are given, e-bay bidding for backpacks, mosquito nets, travel towals etc., the search continues to find tenants for our flat and worries start to make their way into our thoughts: what if we do the wrong thing, what is afterwards?

One thing we know for sure, it will be an adventure that we can tell our kids (however small they might be), a mile stone seperating studies (I have now finished the MBA) and start into our careers, completely overtaking our lifes and finally this journey will teach us individually and as a couple what we and our live is about....especially now that we are engaged!
