Today was a day of sightseeing and double decker tour buses. There are stops for these buses all around London and as long as you know which color tour you’re on, you can get on and off at any of these stops. We got off to look at Westminister Abbey and to look at St. Paul’s Cathedral, which were both really cool, old buildings. The architecture was incredible; Westminister Abbey looked like Hogwarts! 😊
At Westminister Abbey, they had all the old kings and queens buried, along with different writers like Charles Dickens and other famous people that I’d actually heard of! Then of course Caroline had to spill her coke all over the benches where the monks sat thousands of years ago. And at St. Paul’s Cathedral, we climbed 878 stairs. (Yes, we counted.) Ouch! It was a stretch but we got to the top and got to look out over all of London!
At 7:30 that night (1:30PM Austin time), the Sound of Music began at Palladium Theater. The lead nun was great, bringing everyone to tears. Basically the whole show was mind-blowing.
So, I’d call our first day of Europe a success. We’ll see what tomorrow brings...

It brought back memories of my visit to London a few years ago. The old buildings are really fascinating and we are just a blip in time, aren't we? I hope you are looking left every time you step off a curb!! Love You, Grandma Mary
