Hello all Today I was up to London in Hampton Court - and not being mugged in the Philipines- I am sorry but my Yahoo account has been hacked - I have lost all emails and all contacts - so this blog is a good way to reach most of you. Thanks to everyone who might have thought it was true and showed concern by texting phoning or messaging me here...and given that Richard has been working in Manilla a couple of times - it was perfectly feasible that I might have been there!! Now it's aright mess to try and see if Yahoo can restore my account ....meanwhile I am changing all passwords etc ....maybe I shall use a Maori word - they are pretty unintelligible. Love bemused and confused me. xxx... read more

So with all the kids here at some time during the week we have done a bit of touring around and showing Catherine the delights of our Sussex villages and coastline. Some of you who have been my visitors here will recognise some places, Here are some more photos. I have also included some taken when Diane and Dave were here from New Zealand earlier in June. After I got back from the BIG TRIP in April- I did think I would use the blog for my other occasional travels but I never really got round to it at the time. Well I have been to Sweden at Easter and then to Normandy with Christine ( my sis-in-law) at the beginning of June - so will post some of those fotos in another blog to catch up. I have also had my home exchage family from Christchurch New Zealand to stay - so it has been a lovely busy time.A Anyway my lovely cousin Marllyn (who lives in Spain - more trips there for me coming up) is always full of bright ideas which usually involve Terry in some extra DIY work around the house..but this time her idea was for me to ... read more

The last leg and probably one of the hottest day of the year so far and so not ideal for walking. When I set out on the 11 mile hike from Alfriston along the river towards the coast I feared the heat may get the better of me. As I got nearer the coast there was a gentle cooling breeze which was very welcome. The coastal walk from Cuckmere Haven into Eastbourne was spectactular and must rank as one of the best in the UK, First there is the River Cuckmere meanering into the sea at Cuckmere Haven although it looks as though in years to come this will all change as the man-made sea defences are being abandoned and the Haven will revert to being a tidal estuary The Seven Sisters are next and this ... read more

Hey Mates!

My last day at Anjali House was really nice...we spent the morning playing games and dancing and in the afternoon we watched Finding Nemo. My last English lesson was good too. Because we were still doing the letter G I made it a bit more interesting. You see, games start with G and Hangman has a G in it so that's what we did for an hour. Then I gave them some smelly pens as a little goodbye pressie. We had a lot of fun and it was really sad when it came to the end of the day and it was time to say goodbye. All the kids gathered downstairs and I was given my certificate and lots of cards made by the kids. Some of the boys even picked me some flowers and made ... read more

Hello everyone - it's Beeny rabbit here. She has packed her cases and I am wondering if she is going to put me in the rucsac or a case. I like peeking out of the rucsac - can't stand being in the hold - its b**** freezing in there. I like going on these trips with her - she let me sit on the dash in NZ when we were driving the camper van. I think they call them RVs in Canada and I have seen a picture of the one she is getting - it's VERY BIG!! Last time she called the camper "Betty" but this one doesn't look like a "Betty" to me...but then I am only a rabbit - wot would I know. I hope we dont meet any scary bears - teddy ... read more

Hello to all friends and family, Most of you know that I have been travelling here and there in the last 18 months since the big trip to Down Under. That was the first time I used Travelblog and it was a great way to keep in touch as well as record all the "happanings". Well on Thursday I will be flying off to Calgary at the start of a 6 week trip in Canada. For the first 2 weeks Suz and Tracie will be with me and we are "doing" The Rockies to Vancouver - and then I will continue my trip to Ontario - visiting "old" friends and making new ones with the help of my Intervac hospitality swaps. So I think I am at the stage of all systems go now - only ... read more

Sat in the Ballroom for the entire morning and the first portion of the afternoon going through more orientation things. Apparently there's one more series of sessions tomorrow, and then an out trip on Sunday (yay)! There was free time for basically the rest of the day - which we decided to take advantage of by sharing a taxi-van to Eastbourne. I didn't really have a purpose for going down there other than to sightsee, because I had gotten most of my supplies the week before, but it was very refreshing to be able to get off of the grounds and experience a different environment. First thing that hit me when the taxi rolled into town: OCEAN! Huge pale, turquoise, crashing waves and constant wind. The seaside was gorgeous, with an extended pier-type thing and a ... read more
