One of the best museums I've ever been to. So much to see.
Had a very leisurely morning today. Didn't have a lot of time because I need to connect with my tour group this afternoon for the get to the know the group stuff this evening.

Spent most of the morning touring the Swiss National Museum. So incredible! Room after room of things to see. It's not a typical "museum". It has many, many small rooms full of items or actual banquet rooms from during the knight days which had been donated to the museum, etc. etc. Saw items going back to 1100-1200 AD. So incredible for a gal like me from the States where we just don't have those centuries of history. Saw a HUGE globe worth over 2 million francs. Wish I had more time to spend here. Was a little rushed because I wanted to grab lunch and do a little shopping before I had to head back to the hotel and meet my group.

Stopped off at the Crazy Cow for lunch which was recommended by locals as having great german food. Thought the name was funny as well. Ordered the special (which was in German) and ended up being pork sausage with ground carrots wrapped in

So many rooms inside. You could spend a full day and still not truly see everything.
bacon and mashed potatoes covered in a rich, dark gravy. Soooooo good. Decided I needed to walk off my lunch so did a little more shopping for back home. Bought some Swiss chocolate to take back as gifts after searching out Teuscher (which according to an online travel site review was one of the two best in Zurich). Took some pictures of the cobble streets as well. Was amused by Bahnhoffstrasse. Can't really afford to shop there but fun to window shop. Hardly any car traffic on the street except for the Mercedes waiting for clients to come out 😊

So excited for tomorrow...head off to Venice! We're going to stop at Mount Stransehorn on our way out of Switzerland and should hit our hotel in Italy by early evening.
