This was another pretty early start today- only two and a half hours of sleep and we were up and ready to go. We started the day off with a confrence on Guadi who I also studied during high school. His is a famous artist who created many buildings when Barcelona was expanding. We visited La Sagrada Familia- an amazing cathedral that Guadi had started to build but died before he finished that is still being constructed today by other architects. Our teacher explained all of the detailing of the building and its meaning and it was almost like the whole bible was translated into art on the outside of this building which was amazing to see up close.

<span> Shortly after we went out for lunch as a group. This was not only the best meal I’ve had in Spain, but in my life. We went to an amazing resturant right on the water. The first course we had was salad with tuna. After that we had little fried squid which were the best I’ve ever had (hey weren’t rings they were actually little squids that were different than what you would see in America). Finally they brought us these massive bowls of paella with shrimp, calamari, crawfish, and muscles. Even though we were already full at this point none of us could stop eating the delicious dish. I will definitely be going back there at some point.

<span> Now that we had full stomachs we did a tour of Palau de musica. It is an amazing music hallwhere many performances take place. Yet again it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen (but what isn’t here?)

Finally we ended up at the Parque Guell, which was my favorite place we visited last time I was in Spain. The view was as gorgeous as ever and we enjoyed relaxing and listing to people playing guitars and singing.

<span> We went back to the hotel and enjoyed a short siesta before going out. We went for tapas at a resturant in a plaza and then we went to a discoteca (club) right on Las Ramblas. The dancing was amazing it I was with a different group of people than the previous night so that made it even more fun.
