This morning I woke up early enough to be vaguely awake when Christine came with tea. I decided to head down straight away, and actually make it to breakfast on time! It was then time for our last lesson... We covered the rest of the past tenses, which was quite good fun to make up stories to connect and differentiate the tenses! At one point, we were talking about a fictional person who broke their leg falling down the stairs. There are four different ways of combining the two verbs, two of which were hilarious... While breaking their leg, they walked down the stairs - the plot of a gore film? The other was 'she used to break her leg when going down the stairs', as though its a habit she has... I woke up to a curious knocking noise this morning... It took me a good few minutes to realise that it was Christine knocking on my door with a cup of tea! Such a dear! I did go down a few minutes later to eat breakfast, but that tea definitely fortified me and meant I didn't have to sleepwalk down the stairs. Class today started with looking at the present tense. A nice revision and I also learnt about lo siento (I'm sorry) and it's culture. In the UK, we apologize for everything, bumping into someone on the train, everything... Lo siento literally means 'I feel', so it's only used when you are sincerely sorry. Rolled out of bed this morning just in time for breakfast. After a cup of tea to wake me up, I went off for a shower before class. The shower is very cool! It has a seat and jets to soot the water at your back... It also has a radio and a light to see the mirror, also inside the shower! After playing about with the shower for a we while, it was time for today's class. First we played a game where we (figuratively) had to hide something in the room, and the other person had to ask questions about where it was. I went first, and my object was hidden in the gap under and behind the tv. Fernando told me I had a twisted mind after this... Then it was Christine's turn. ... read more

I woke up this morning quite tired after staying up last night to post my blog... After a few minutes of hoping I could go back to sleep, I realised it was nearly breakfast time, so I dressed and headed downstairs. Thankfully Raquel and Victoria were still in bed - they are lovely but being twins at two and a half is a lot to take in at once! I was their new favourite toy last night... Shortly after they did appear, Merche (Fernando's wife) took them to nursery and Fernando took me and Christine upstairs. Christine and Richard are a lovely couple from Nottinghamshire who have come for Christine to improve her Spanish... Once in the classroom, Fernando explained that we were going to start from scratch but go over everything very quickly until we ... read more
