mmmk i was kidding, its not a church
Ok so I'm not really in Wroclaw anymore, but since I had two failed attempts at updating yesterday, we're gonna pretend i am..

so our last night in Warsaw we ended going to Galeria (club) along with Kasia's cousins. Kasia was quite the dancing queen if I do say so myself. Jarek and I left to check out Utopia, one of Warsaw's best clubs, while Kasia stayed and got her groove on. Once back (4:30am) we hit up some Kebabs....always delicious....

the next morning I went to meet up with Jarek at 2:00 and we headed to the train station so he could help me buy tickets. Well all the workers there were huge bitches and were of no help whatsoever, so we ended up going to an internet cafe to look up train times. The next inter-city train was in like an hour and 45 minutes which absolutely sucked. All of the other ones were like twice as long it just wouldn't have been worth it. I was pissed off, but we took a cab back to Iza's to tell them the deal. We took random pictures of us with Iza and Wojtek, said our goodbyes, and headed

Really nice new fountain in the main market square. It was supposed to be temporary but everyone loved it so it stayed
for the station. Szkoda...We grabbed coffee at 'coffee heaven', jarek helpd us get our shit on the train, and we left warsaw, both with tears in our eyes no joke :-(

the train ride was tolerable, besides the nasty little spoiled brat that gave us both dirty looks the whole time. we named her 'diplomat demon' because she acted like some kind of important diplomat or something and clearly was possesed by satan as well. we spend some time in the restaurant car to get away from her. that was fun; we felt kind of 1940's in there...

i had called krysia from warszawa so her and Karina were both there waiting for us at the station in Wroclaw. Krysia looked great, even better than when she lived with us 8 years ago. I suppose when you don't spend your days lifting dying grandmothers and giving sponge baths to bed-sore-ful bodies, you might feel a bit more envigorated and youthful. they drove a really nice AIR-CONDITIONED Peugeot and took us back to there place. It was a really nice, modern looking house/duplex with just a hint of Polish, like the silky flower curtains. Krysia of course had already

prepared a feast for us, golapki, sliced ham, etc. etc. we also met piotr, her son, and ola, karina and piotr's daughter. she's quite the little character at 7 years old. could grow up to be a rock star. we were pretty pooped so after talking we headed to bed.

yesterday we got up to a schmorgasbord of a breakfast of ham, little sausages, some ridiculously declicious salads, assorted cheeses, etc. etc. once full and ready, karina drove us into the center of wroclaw and showed us which bus to take to get back, etc.

wroclaw was a nice smaller town, with gorgeous squares full of cafes and restaurants just like in the other cities. we started off visiting some old brick churches and them moved on to consumerism at H@M. i attempted to become euro-trendy but my 3/4 length pants were too big. i thought maybe in europe clothes would actually fit me...next we headed to "cathedral island" where there was, you guessed it, a really nice old cathedral surrounded by water and more smaller churches. the weather could not have been any better - beautiful and sunny with a nice cool breeze. we continued to explore

the area, checking out this really cool indoor market with some pretty awesome looking produce and meat. last stop was the big galeria (mall) to check out the polish stores and whatnot. i didn't end up getting anything, which was unfortunate

at 5 we were scheduled to head back for dinner, but the bus never came so we ended up being a half hour late. soup was waiting for us, followed by amazing boiled potatoes, chicken, and salad. for dessert, krysia, karina, ola, and the two of us headed back to the mall for some italian ice cream. polish people are obsessed with ice cream, and this menu was seriously orgasmic in itself. i ended up with the 'spaghetti classico', vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce made to look like spaghetti ( see pic) after dinner we headed back home where piotr looked up trains to prague for us. there was only one at 8:17 am so that's what we had to do, which sucked since i feel like we didn't get to spend any time with them. alas...more talking, then journaling and whatnot before bed...

it was up early this morning to shower and eat before getting

driven to the trainstation, having said goodbye to krysia beforehand. it took forever to get our tickets and almost missed our train. the train was kind of shitty, but we had our comparatment to ourselves for probably half of the time before it was invaded by like a horde of czechs who brought with them beer and some kind of homemade concoction. we wanted to shoot them. krysia had packed us sandwiches and stuff for lunch, so we enjoyed those....

finally getting to prague, we were almost horrendously ripped off by this cab driver. he said it would be 1560 koruna to get there (~ 60 us dollars) but then all of the sudden he was going to get us there for 500 koruna. no thanks, freak. we ended up paying 20 koruna, less than a dollar, and just taking the subway which was a piece of cake....

so here we are in prague, at an internet cafe obviously...tonight we're just gonna explore a little and chill before a full day tomorrow...

Hey, Thats not a church - that's the town hall :). But hey, I *HAVE* seen stranger advertisments on churches in Poland - try the Da Vinci code movie advertising itself on the main Church in Warsaw....
