I didn’t really have a plan for what I was going to do in Ireland. I just knew that I wanted to pop over and see my gran in Boyle (in Roscommon in the west of Ireland) before heading on our big trip. I couldn’t have picked a better time to visit - it was Boyle Arts Festival and my lovely aunty Martina had a whole schedule planned. She picked me up from the train station and said “right - you’ll have your dinner with your granny and then I’ll pick you up at 7.30 for a photography lecture, then maybe some music and then the next day ….” she really had thought it all through. We had a great weekend back home with Dad to celebrate his birthday we spoilt him and he loved every second ,we had a great night in the local pub and now we are getting ready for our second trip home this month for xmas our last xmas before married life it's finally feeling like xmas we are both just looking forward to going home to chillax and unwind at last. It was so nice just to pop home for a few days Mum and Dad met us at knock, they were in great form. its funny when your away you think so much is going on at home but, really you don't miss a thing it stays the same and thats what makes it feel so nice and safe i suppose. we sorted out some business on friday and then it was straight to Galway to spend the night with our groomsman B and Lisa we ended up in a pub in oranmore i even bumped into an old teacher from college Loue smith i could not believe he remembered me. before i add photos sorry Lisa she said if i put them on my blog thats it she is going to kill me but, you ... read more
