The Maniac
Zoe did the driving this time. Very impressed, only a few near misses. Well it's been a while since our last update, haven't been up to much just chilling out and saving some cash for the main event. A few months ago we went to Galway so we're catching up on that one. Zoe was the driver this time. I lost a couple of years of my life to many near misses. Na, she was very good but the navigating was exceptional (yep, we had good road signs to follow this time). It was very nice, a place that everyone over here goes on their hens and bucks nights. So you could imagine that there was a lot of drunk people.
The Cliffs of Moher were a lot like the Apostles in Oz but very nice. They had a lot of shops built in to the hills, very cool.
We went in to Ailwee Cave which was really cool. Also went to Kylemore Abbey castle. Very random, this very cool castle in the middle of nowhere.
Also Zoe and I had a weekend to ourselves for a change - all our housemates had gone away for the weekend. It was all rosy, Dave and Zoe were having a great weekend until
The Cliffs of Moher
No need for a blow dry here just head to the Cliffs of Moher. good old Dave locks us out of the unit. With noone coming back until midnight, Zoe was not happy at all. Not much was said.
....Ok, I'm cutting in there Dave. Paint the picture - just been riding bikes around Phoenix Park for three hours with nothing to eat or drink and only in t-shirt and shorts in Ireland which was starting to cool down very quickly. With no money to buy anything and no phone. Good times. Okay back to your part...
After trying to break in for an hour with a couple of pieces of cardboard, Dave decided to call a locksmith for 120 Euro. With the fighting spirit dying quickly, Dave decided to give it one more try. A last ditch effort resulted in Dave tripping over and falling in to the door, which sent it flying open. During the celebrations the door almost slammed shut in both our faces but the dive that saved the door was priceless. Anyway just another exciting time in Dublin.
So been doing a bit of bumming around Dublin really. Went to Croke Park, one of the biggest stadiums in Europe. It's where the Gaelic footy and hurling
are played. Zoe tried her luck at hurling, well let's just say 'tried very hard'. I'll let the photos tell the story.
Send us an email and let us know what you're doing...only five more weeks til we're on the road. Woo hoo!!
