We arrived at the central bus station and after quick phone call to a very hangover local and a short walk we landed at Sasi’s front door in district 101. Time for a quick catch up and coffee we set off for a day in Reykjavik. It’s a great city to be in; a real treat to be in a capital so different from London. There are no massive buildings or sprawling boulevards but a lovely fishing village like feel. The buildings are brightly coloured there are great places to eat, drink and relax. The weather was kind, lovely blue skies and not too cold a breeze. A good day was had taking in the quiet feel and un-hectic life of Iceland. It’s fantastic to be by a undeveloped unspoilt landscape, the sea and immense surroundings. ... read more

Yesturday was amazing First off we all met down at the downtown branch, about 35 of us and jumped in 9 seater buses to go to some boxing place to play some games. We played tug o war and our team won, and then we played that sack race game where you jump in sacks but there was 4 in a sack instead which was interesting and then some other game where in pairs you had to pop the balloons as quick as possible in pairs by using no hands. We all then went to the boat to go fishing and it was really rocky, felt really sick and there was loads of free beer i couldnt drink. Brian caught 15 fish! yes 15 in an hour but its wasnt really a competition you just hung ... read more

In disbelief is where you can find me... A lonely land it is. I know everyone is well. Summer is all but done. As is my time. I had a great last day in London. Bertie and i rolled around Camden, Soho, Covent and the usual sights and then his brother came down from up north and we smashed a great dinner and an AMAZING desert prepared by their mom. It was really nice to have a home cooked meal with a family. In NE Turkey was the last time i had that. With Volkan´s family. I hope they are doing well. I flew out that morning and got in here to Iceland. It was pissing down and i couldn´t be bothered with hitching or the cost of public transportation along with the lack of freedom ... read more

Well we are obviously so ace that me and Brian had a big meeting with the big bosses on thursday..and they have been so kind to offer us permanent work! which is pretty awesome. They are going house hunting with us, and they are going to buy the house we want and we will pay the rent on it to cover the mortgage I guess, which is great, so we will be moving from keflavik to Hafnarfjörður, which is 10 minutes from Reykjavik, instead of the 40 minutes now, as I will be working in the downtown Reykjavik branch for the winter as the airport is dead at the moment, and Brian will carry on moving cars from one to another. Which is nice, as we can finally go out in Reykjavik partying! as a taxi ... read more

Last night: got a phone call in the afternoon from our guest house landlord and he conveniantly had double booked our room for the night, as last night was the festival of light here in Keflavik where 40,000 people...yes 40,000 in a harbour town the size of wroughton. So we had go pack up all our stuff so the guests could move in, when i say we i meant I, i did all the packing and everything and what a nightmare. Then had to lift 60kilos worth of luggage into the car, not to mention the beer i bought for the festival for last night. SO yes, then I found out we were to be staying with the boss of the company for the night in his house in reykjavik ( this guy is big news ... read more

Temperature: about 8 degrees Weather- Sunny/ cloudy/ a bit cold! Mood- A bit full from the Subway at lunch! A few days have passed....well more like 3 weeks, I totally forgot about this! We had a mess about a few times with accomodation and the room we were staying in got booked twice or something, so one night we stayed in this terrible motel and then moved back again. And then last saturday I got a call from the landlord saying we were supposed to be out by 12, and I looked at my watch at it was 10 am..so I had to rush home on my own and pack up everything and everything! and we had to stay at one of the managers houses that night, but it also ended up being the Night of ... read more
