we went to the train station and when we were buying the tickets we met this scottish couple. after that we decided to have lunch. but the food was taking too long to get ready so we decided to cancel and went back, but when we went back the stupid train was late like 1h. so we just stayed there doing nothing. i met this brazilian girl in the bathroom (you can definitely meet brazilians everywhere) that just came from budapest so she gave me some advice bout what to do. after waiting for the train for over 1h, the bastard finally came. i was not in a very good mood by then…i wanted my risotto!! the trip was good; travelling by trains is always nice specially when the compartment is empty! so we got to budapest train station and took a bus to our hosts house across the brigde. we got there and the couple was quite nice, but i was feeling that they weren’t very comfortable with us. anyway, we left to get lost in the city by night. we grabbed some beers on the way and walked along the river and went back to the other side which
was more interesting. first stop was a pub and guess who was there?! the scottish couple! we just had a quick chat and went to find a place to have some food. the majority of the places in budapest closes around 11pm, and that was one of the things that the brazilian girl told me. as we didn’t have much time to search for a place we just stopped at this pizza restaurant. we kept walking around but we realized that we weren’t going to find any party so we just got a tram back home. in budapest you need to buy your ticket before getting in the trams as well! next day we went to explore the city. we went to this hill that you can see all budapest if you get to the top. on our way up guess who we meet again?! yes, the scottish couple! anyway we made our way till the middle of the hill then went back down to go to the castle. the castle is really pretty from the outside and if you pay 0,50euros you can go all the way up and check the view and the patios. after having lunch in
a vegetarian restaurant we went to the turkish baths. you pay 10euros and can stay for as long as you want. it was getting cold and the water was so warm. it was sooo good! then we went to check another pool and this one was amazing. the whirl pool is insde a bigger pool, it pushes you around the outside for around 5minutes and everyone is pushed into one another! it was so much fun!! in the other part of the same pool theres some water jets coming from the bottom of the pool, like water massage. after the baths we went for a walk till the time we had to meet our hosts for dinner. then they send us a msg saying “we are at whateverstreet we can wait for you 15min”. then we started to look at the map to find where the street was and we took a while to realized was the other side of the city and definitely we’d take much more then 15min to get there. so we just said thanks we’re not going. then we went to this cool bar that i don’t remember the name but is in the city guide.
the problem was we didn’t have much money…enough for one beer each, which is not enough! so as we didn’t have much to do we went back to our hosts house to socialize with them, but they were not there. when they arrived we went upstairs and david said that tomorrow he needed to leave at 8am. and we said ok thinking “ok, you go at 8 we keep sleeping” so we went to bed around 2am trying to figure out how to get to lake bled. on the next morning at 7:30am david start waking us up saying that we needed to leave coz he didn’t have a spare key to give us and he needed to lock the apartment. he made us breakfast but by the moment we sat down he said “ok guys you have 5min coz I have to leave” so we didn’t eat anything and went to the street. he was going to come back around 3pm and around 8pm they were going to leave for a party with no time to come back. so as we had much free time to think i said that the best option was move on otherwise we were going to sleep on the street. so after checking the central market (that was built by the eiffel dude) we went to the train station to check the tickets and after spending 2h there asking for routes and prices, we finally had a plan and could buy the tickets but when we went back there the first price the lady told us was wrong so we had to come back to the street, exchange more money, wait for i don’t know how long, to finally buy the damn tickets to ljubljana which was quite expensive! one thing: women that sell train tickets at budapest train station are not very nice and never in a good mood. So we went back to their house where david was waiting for us, we packed our stuff really fast, bye david, back to the train station, grabbed a couple of beers, bye budapest, slovenia here we go!
