we arrived at the end of the day in krakow. we found a last minute couch to surf there. our host met us at the train station and we walked till his house. after a shower we went downstairs for some beer before heading to the famous nightlife of krakow. but we stayed in for too long so we didnt bother going out anymore..the guys was very cool and the conversation was nice. so we just call a pizza place and bought more beers. next morning we went to auschwits. its pretty easy to get there and cheap as well. i think we spent 5euros each, but the return was cheaper. the buses to auschwitz runs about 10 times a day and takes 1:15h to get there. when you get there you buy a ticket for ... read more
im gonna start this post by saying: dont exchange money in prague. we exchanged three times and we lost 25% of the money each time, and we didnt realize that. so if you need cash, it's better if you withdraw! so we got to czech republic at night with no cash and no map. there was no place still open at the train station to exchange money. we asked this boy for information and he couldnt speak english very well neither his mates, but somehow we could communicate and understood that in the main street of the new town we'd find open places. that area is a bit dodgy but we managed to find the new town even wthout a map. after getting some cash we stopped in a fancy hotel and asked for a map ... read more
we were making our way to slovenia. after enjoying some beers and crisps, talking shit, listening to music, things can get quite boring specially if you still have 5h left (from budapest to ljubljana it takes 9h). sooo what to do? well, if youre a couple alone in the compartment all the boredom is over if (_______) but be carefull, if you realize that the train is slowing down for no apparent reason, stop what youre doing immediately and put your clothes back on, coz get caught by the croatian immigration only wearing undies and trying to cover yourself with a jacket is not fun at all! well…after it is really funny, but at that time, nah! so after that, we decided to sleep and 3h later we got to slovenia at 2am. the train to ... read more
we went to the train station and when we were buying the tickets we met this scottish couple. after that we decided to have lunch. but the food was taking too long to get ready so we decided to cancel and went back, but when we went back the stupid train was late like 1h. so we just stayed there doing nothing. i met this brazilian girl in the bathroom (you can definitely meet brazilians everywhere) that just came from budapest so she gave me some advice bout what to do. after waiting for the train for over 1h, the bastard finally came. i was not in a very good mood by then…i wanted my risotto!! the trip was good; travelling by trains is always nice specially when the compartment is empty! so we got to ... read more
we got in bratislava and we were trying to figure out which ticket to buy from the airport till the train station. they have tickets that are valid for 15min, 30min and so on. so if youre in a traffic jam and you have a 15min ticket and an officer appear, basically youre in trouble. but the good thing is they are very cheap..like 0,50euros. we met our hosts dominika and brano at the train station and went to their house. we stayed there for a bit, checking out the map and she showed us nice things we could do. bratislava is pretty small but if you have the chance to meet locals you can do many stuffs around. after that we went to the city center to have dinner. she took us to a slovak ... read more
we got our flight to milan really early on the 3rd of september. when we arrived we went straight to the main train station to meet our host stefano. after 10 min he showed up and took us to his house wich was really central. a really cool house, big living room, not many furniture...really a architect's house. he showed us a couple of places to go before he went back to work. we decided to see the duomo cathedral. the cathedral is quite impressive, really beautiful, but besides that and a italian version of galeries lafayette, i don't think there's much to see in milan. its quite grey city. so after checking those two places we decided to get lost in the city. and basically thats what we did till we decided to get a ... read more
i think we can say that the trip started in porto. we went there the next day we came back to lisbon. my parents met us iat the train station of espinho, wich is a city 40min from porto. we went for a quick walk next to the beach and then head to the shopping to have dinner. after dinner, me and brad went to porto to meet my flatmates and their family that just came from brazil! we had some beers with them and went back home. next day we went to braga with my parents. braga is a medieval city 53km from porto. in the end of the day we all went to the hotel sepultura was (ah yeah, i forgot to mention: i live with the sisters of the drummer of sepultura) to ... read more
after doing all the touristic stuffs of lisbon, we were wondering what we could do for the next few days. we didnt have much time, coz soon we were heading to valencia, once again for la tomatina! and thats when i thought how stupid we were staying here doing nothing when we could have gone to south spain wich is quite cheap to get from here. but anyway, we kept talking and when we realised we were making plans for a big trip. so he went to a friends house to use the internet and in a couple of hours we chose countries, saw prices and basically everything we needed. and thats how started!... read more
