Salzwedel, a very pretty, very old town. This still has its city gates and parts of the city wall still intact with streams running around it like a moat. We went to find the Dassler windmill in Meseberg (about 60kms from Salzwedel). Didn't think to look at the Sat Nav while driving around Meseberg, because once we found where it was and were driving towards it, it was showing on the Sat Nav as Muhle......duh! As it's listed on the historical places, it has an address. Spent quite a bit of time wondering around taking pictures. Went back to Salzwedel and tried to find out from our hosts if it was possible to phone Bernhard Sasse as his name and phone number was on the plaque outside the windmill.
